Team Rynkeby is a European charity foundation that cycles to Paris every summer to raise money for seriously ill children. Antell will be the gold sponsor of Team Rynkeby Oulu for the 2026 season.
This season, Team Rynkeby has over 2,000 cyclists and more than 500 support staff. In addition to Finland, there are cyclists from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Germany and Switzerland. Team Europe has cyclists from several countries. Team Rynkeby Finland has eight teams, one of which is from Oulu.
In the 2025 season, Team Rynkebyt was supported by approximately 4,500 sponsors. The organisation donated €8.6 million to organisations that help seriously ill children. The money raised in Finland will be donated to Sylva Ry, which provides support to children and young people with cancer and their families, and to the AAMU Foundation, which funds research into the treatment of childhood cancer.
“Every year, we have directed our support towards improving the well-being of children and young people through various organisations. We learned more about Team Rynkeby’s activities through our blind restaurant customer, Heikki Ketola. We wanted to support the work being done for children and young people with cancer and their loved ones. We are eagerly looking forward to following Heikki and his tandem bike pilot Minna Jääskeläinen’s training season and tandem bike trip to Paris,” says Mari Kähkönen, Commercial Director at Antell.
Together we can make a bigger impact
Lea Koivisto, Country Manager for Team Rynkeby in Finland, expresses her gratitude for the tremendous support the project has received year after year.
“We are deeply moved by the support we receive from both private individuals and companies such as Antell. The support we receive is essential for us to continue our work and take concrete action to help children and their families who are in difficult situations. The more helpers and sponsors we have, the easier it is for us to reach our fundraising target and thus enable a better future for even more children.”
When cyclists put on Team Rynkeby’s iconic yellow cycling gear and set off on their long journey to Paris, it is not just a physical achievement for the participants. It is a joint, impressive charity effort.
